The Trainers serve the Coney Island community of southern Brooklyn as missionary church-planters. Stephen pastors Graffiti Fellowship and serves as director of our companion nonprofit, the Graffiti Ministries Learning Center, while Carrie cares for their five children in the home. The Trainer kids, Ryan, Liam, Sean, Audrey, and Nathan love New York City and consider growing up at Graffiti Fellowship an exciting adventure!

Stephen has been in vocational ministry for more than twenty years. He holds both a master’s degree and a doctorate in organizational leadership, with an undergraduate degree in education. Carrie also has a degree in education and was a classroom teacher for many years prior to transitioning to homeschooling their own children full-time.
